Joined Hochstein faculty in: 2021 - 2023
Renee Blodgett is a passionate, open-minded, empathetic, and creative individual. She graduated with a M.S. in Creative Arts Therapy, specialization in Art Therapy, from Nazareth College in 2021. Before pursuing her master’s degree, she attended Roberts Wesleyan College in which she was a dual B.A. in Art and Psychology.
She has always had a passion for helping others and art; therefore, becoming an art therapist was the perfect dream job for her! Her main go-to-medium is typically graphite, but she also enjoys a variety of other media as well. Her goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space for her clients and to assist them through their therapeutic journey.
She has worked with clients ranging from children to elderly adults, who live with traumatic brain injury, aphasia, depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, struggle with emotional regulation, are on the autism spectrum, and other various mental health diagnoses. She has also been a member of the American Art Therapy Association since 2020.
Being a recent graduate, she is still in the process of obtaining her hours for her licensure and credentials as a certified and licensed art therapist.

Why the arts matter: It is a means of expression and communication. The arts are one way to bring people together despite their language, ability level, or background.
When I’m not at Hochstein, you can find me: creating art, at a car show, at my favorite local restaurant (Pizza Hut), or enjoying the company of family and friends.
