Summer Suzuki Flute

Age 5 and older
Lessons are arranged by consultation with the Dean’s Office. Call 585.454.4596 for more information.

Hochstein Suzuki Flute, which contains elements developed by David Gerry of the Great Lakes Suzuki Institute, is a program that centers on the study of flute for children ages 5 and older with a teacher trained in the Suzuki Method.

The Suzuki Method involves three participants: the parent/caregiver, the teacher, and the child. Each participant is an equal, active member of the learning process and together form an all-important ’triangle’ of learning - the Suzuki Triangle.

Student flutes are available for rental and purchase locally through Music and Arts in Pittsford, NY and flutes can also be shipped from Flute Center of NY based in New York City. Please contact: Rita George Simmons at rita.george-simmons@hochstein.org for more detailed information regarding flute rental.
To find more detailed information about Hochstein's Suzuki Program, we invite you to visit our school year Suzuki page.
NOTE: Group classes may be added at a later date when there are enough student participants.
Fee: $20 registration fee. $33* fee per half-hour lesson. Schedules and fees are arranged by appointment with the Dean’s Office. With enrollment in Suzuki Flute, families pay reduced fees for one Children’s Dance class. (Fees are as of Summer 2024.)
