Guitar Ensemble I
John Wiesenthal, Director
Day and Time are scheduled based on participant and director availability
Ages 18+, Beginning-Continuing level

Bringing together guitarists who want to build reading and performance skills, this ensemble explores Renaissance, Baroque, classical, and contemporary music. Fresh arrangements and transcriptions are regularly developed for the group, and parts are graded so that new members can join without feeling they've missed the boat. Participants need to read beyond the basic “hunt and pluck,” and must have a classical, nylon string guitar.

A placement assessment is required to join the ensemble.

FEE for Guitar Ensemble I: $10 registration fee; $576* yearly tuition payable in quarterly installments of $144 each. For students enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein, yearly tuition is $468 payable in quarterly installments of $117. (Fee as of Fall 2022.)
