Welcome to our beginning modern dance class, where we discover the blend of a supple spine and flexible torso to achieve a seamless flow throughout the entire body.
The class begins with a gentle warm-up that combines floorwork and center exercises, focusing on developing essential skills with proper technique, musicality, and the art of spinal articulation. The class then progresses to sequences, where you'll have the chance to explore improvisation techniques and delve into basic choreography exercises.
Throughout the class, you'll be introduced to a diverse movement vocabulary influenced by various modern dance styles such as Fagan, Horton, and Graham techniques. By emphasizing precise skills and attention to detail, we aim to strengthen your body while enhancing flexibility and coordination.
