Early Start Guitar

Ages 5-9

Hochstein’s unique guitar program takes children from first notes to solo and ensemble performances. Musicianship skills that include singing and note reading, as well as guitar technique, are built through a child-friendly repertoire. Individual 30-minute lessons are supplemented by a 50-minute group class. Lessons are arranged by consultation with the Dean’s Office

Group classes are available for beginning, continuing, and intermediate-level students.

Let us advise you about obtaining an appropriate instrument for your child. Please call 585.454.4596.

Fee: $20 registration fee. $36* fee per half-hour lesson (includes the group class). Schedules and fees are arranged by appointment with the Dean’s Office. With enrollment in Early Start Guitar, families pay $72 per quarter for one Music FUNdamentals or Children’s Dance class, and reduced fees for Choir or other ensembles. (Fees are as of Fall 2022)
