For violinists, violists, and cellists entering grades 1-12 in Fall 2025 and pianists entering grades 7-12 in Fall 2025
NYSSMA Level 3-6+ (youngest participants should read music and pianists must be good sight-readers)
Join us for this wonderful weeklong camp as a part of Hochstein’s Chamber Music Connections program! Students of similar ages and abilities will be placed in a trio, quartet, or quintet and also take part in a larger chamber orchestra. Camp will include daily coachings, presentations on special topics, and a masterclass by a special guest artist. Coachings and workshops/activities will be customized based on the playing level and prior experience of the students. Elementary and intermediate students who are new to chamber music will have fun learning basic ensemble playing skills while also receiving support on instrument technique. More advanced and experienced students will work on refining their collaborative playing skills while exploring challenging and exciting repertoire.
Camp will conclude with a performance on Friday, August 8 at 2:00 pm.
