Welcome from the Concertino Strings Director

Welcome to Concertino Strings! My name is Marcos Kreutzer and I would like to tell you about Concertino Strings. In our orchestra, students will learn the nuts and bolts of orchestra playing while making great music and lots of friends. In our rehearsals, we learn how to follow a conductor, how to sight-read music while listening to other parts, how to play together with other people, and so much more. All the skills necessary to be successful in more advanced ensembles like Sinfonia, Philharmonia, and HYSO.

Concertino Strings is open to all beginning string players who are already comfortable sight-reading music and have played their instrument for two years or more. Click here for more specific information about auditioning for Concertino Strings.

An absence reporting form has been provided for your convenience — please remember to report absences as much in advance as possible! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
