This popular offering continues online! Join fellow violinists, violists, cellists, and double-bassists in the joyful musical interaction that is a string orchestra! Students will come together for a short session to learn repertoire pieces in a collaborative, non-threatening environment. Participants should be able to play repertoire such as an easy Baroque sonata or concerto movement.
Musicians will participate in joint video projects until it’s safe to perform together again. In addition to rehearsing repertoire, class topics may include: recording and sharing videos, why bowings are important, exploring music with odd time signatures, and how to build and expand our repertoire of favorite pieces.
Fee: $10 registration fee; $120* tuition per 8-week session. For those enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein, tuition is $96 per 8-week session. (Fees are as of Fall 2020.)
