NEW! Gentle Yoga

Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice that allows you to quiet the scurrying mind and focus on the moment-to-moment experience of breathing and moving in your body. This class offers a guided experience of classic Hatha Yoga sequences taught in a Vinyasa flow style. Participants will learn the Sun Salutation and be introduced to poses for developing strength, balance, spinal flexibility, ease of motion in the hips, improved posture, and mental clarity. Particular emphasis will be paid to proper alignment. The teaching approach is gentle and modifications will be made based on participants' physical abilities. Each class concludes with restorative breath work and relaxation.
Dance attire for this class: Comfortable clothing, yoga mat, yoga blocks and strap, bare feet

Join this new fitness craze designed to relieve stress, strengthen your core, and increase your flexibility and balance. Barre-Fit fuses ballet, Pilates, and yoga techniques in a relaxing class designed to help each individual reach their personal goals. No dance experience necessary!
Dance attire for this class: Comfortable clothing, yoga mat, yoga blocks and strap, ballet slippers or socks
Adult Movement for Wellness Fees:
$10 registration fee; $144* per 9-week section. For students enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein, 9-week quarterly tuition is $108. (Fees as of Fall 2017)
NOTE: Movement for Wellness classes qualify for 50% off full tuition if taken as the second class in combination with either a full-fee Ballet, Alternative Styles, or other Wellness class.
