For the Advancing Ballet Dancer

Our sequential ballet training focuses on the adagio and allegro movements in combination with elementary Pirouettes. Importance is placed on the development of strength in the legs and feet to prepare students for Pointe work. Dancers continue to stretch, develop stability in turns, and to perfect smooth connections of movements while students develop strength, flexibility, and placement. The Russian (Vaganova) Technique continues as students advance.

Students who are technically capable and physically developed have the option of participating in Pointe class as part of their Vaganova training.

The Preparation/Pointe/Variations class will focuses on developing the coordination, muscular strength, and placement for pointe work.Emphasis is placed on the proper foot, body alignment, and core strength needed to safely and successfully dance “en pointe.”
