Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music; Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from Michigan State University; Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from Portland State University. Holds early Childhood and General Music Level I Certification from the Gordon Institute for Music Learning (GIML) and serves as the historian for GIML National. Founding member of the New York State Chapter of GIML (NY-GIML). Principal teachers include Kenneth Grant, Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr and Stan Stanford. Teaches clarinet at Nazareth College of Rochester and previously taught at SUNY Fredonia, Jamestown City School District and the Diocese of Rochester. Performs regularly with the Western New York Chamber Orchestra and Hochstein's contemporary music ensemble, Twenty21; clarinetist for a newly formed woodwind quintet. Has recorded on the Oregon Catholic Press label playing sacred music and compositions by Jacob Avshalomov.
