Hochstein Piano Faculty - Oleksandra Yurchenko

Pianist Oleksandra Yurchenko holds a Master of Music degree in piano performance, chamber music, and collaborative piano from Lviv Conservatory (Ukraine). From 1991-2003, she was a staff accompanist and professor of collaborative piano at Lviv Conservatory, where she was awarded the prestigious Performers Certificate in recognition of outstanding collaborative pianist.

Oleksandra has performed as a soloist and collaborative pianist in the Ukraine, United States, Poland, Germany, Austria, and Canada. She has performed with renowned artists such as Maria Bayko, Volodymyr Ihnatenko, Lubov Kachala, Vasyl Slipak - Narodni artists of Ukraine, and many more.

She has worked in numerous international competitions where she received the Prestigious Certificate in recognition of Best Collaborative Pianist in Europe. Oleksandra also has performed with distinguished opera soloists who are performing in the Metropolitan Opera such as Tomash Koniezcny. She was a permanent collaborative pianist for international master classes with Dr. Christian Elssner from Dresden Music Academy.

Oleksandra joined The Hochstein School faculty in 2006, and Eastman School of Music in 2008. She also works as a pianist at Webster United Church of Christ. And she is very active as a collaborative pianist in the greater Rochester area and performs regularly on Hochstein Piano Celebrations concerts. Since 2016, she also has had her own studio.
