Elaine Kong received her Masters of Music in Music Therapy from Florida State University, and Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy with Education Certification and a minor in Psychology from Nazareth College of Rochester. She began her career providing therapeutic services in the medical setting, and she has specialty training in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit-Music Therapy working with premature infants and their families. She is currently serving as the Secretary of the Mid-Atlantic Region of the American Music Therapy Association.
Elaine joined the Expressive Arts Department in the beginning of 2014. She primarily works with children with special needs in the school setting. In addition, Elaine co-treats with an occupational therapist in an early intervention program; she provides individual music therapy sessions, and teaches adaptive piano lessons to individuals with disabilities. She is also the Outreach Service Coordinator of Hochstein’s Expressive Arts Department.
