Bethany Woelk earned her bachelor’s degree in Media Production from Calvin College in 2010. During this time, she focused on documentary filmmaking for social reform, the ethics of filmmaking, and experimental filmmaking. She traveled to 18 countries during this time, and lived abroad in Budapest, Hungary where she learned to tell the stories of the people that she encountered through the visual arts.
During her time living in Colorado, Bethany worked as a software trainer for Apple. She offered lessons in advanced camera training, motion animation, and video editing. She also catered to the accessible community by facilitating private training lessons on Apple devices for students with visual impairments, hearing impairments, limited mobility, and learning disabilities. She became the point person for the market of Apple stores in accessible education. She believes in empowering students of all abilities by cultivating a safe and welcoming individualized learning atmosphere, infused with creativity.
Bethany serves as the Creative Media Coordinator for Hochstein's Expressive Arts Department, focusing on customized photography and video production workshops, at Hochstein and in the community. Her other responsibilities include outreach, education, and promotional support for the Expressive Arts Department.
