Hochstein at High Falls: Debbie Kendrick Project

Join us for a free lunchtime concert at Hochstein at High Falls, featuring Debbie Kendrick Project.
Event details

Vocalist Debbie Kendrick is Rochester’s Queen of the Blues, carrying on a tradition of many great blues and gospel artists that goes back to the legendary Son House. Her group has an acoustic vibe and its influences harkens back to the early days of blues, gospel, folk, and jazz music.

Location: Outer parking lot at 4 Commercial Street, corner of Browns Race. Click here for a map

The concerts are hosted by Hannah Maier of The Route/WRUR 88.5. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating and lunch. Each performance will run approximately 40 minutes. 

Concerts take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, check Hochstein’s website or Hochstein’s Facebook page at 10:30 am the day of the concert to see if the concert is moving to the rain location at MCC’s Downtown Campus at 321 State Street. There will be signage to direct you to the indoor rain location.

Hochstein at High Falls concerts are presented by the High Falls Business Association, The Hochstein School, and The Route/WRUR 88.5. Hochstein at High Falls is also made possible by a number of local organizations, including Brandtatorship, LaBella Associates, and Monroe Community College.

Hochstein at High Falls: Watkins and the Rapiers
Event summary
Join us for a free lunchtime concert at Hochstein at High Falls, featuring Watkins and the Rapiers.

Known for their frequent themed performances—tributes to popular musicians, holiday celebrations, nods to springtime, the moon, bow ties, and even aluminum—Watkins and the Rapiers explore many of North America’s popular musical genres through original music written by the band’s five distinctive, yet complementary, songwriters.

Hochstein at High Falls: Mambo Kings
Event summary
Join us for a free lunchtime concert at Hochstein at High Falls, featuring Mambo Kings.

Together since 1995, Mambo Kings are enjoying great success as Upstate New York’s foremost Latin jazz ensemble, and have earned a national reputation for their explosive blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms and jazz improvisation. They have appeared in Pops concerts with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, at the Rochester International Jazz Festival, and with orchestras in Baltimore, Vancouver, Detroit, Dallas, Naples (FL), Portland (OR), Alabama, Chicago, Austin, Virginia, and Buffalo.

Event summary
Join us for a free lunchtime concert at Hochstein at High Falls, featuring Candy.

Candy is a talented country artist that embodies the spirit of all your favorite country stars with a deep passion for singing and playing guitar. Her musical style harks back to the classic era of the 1950s & 60s, reminiscent of the golden age of country music. Over the past couple of years, Candy has been playing as a 5 piece band growing their reach in the Rochester and Finger Lakes music scene.
