Molly McDonald leads a 9-week class, designed as a combination of group discussion and guided listening. Participants will study orchestral and chamber music repertoire over the past 100 years, studying the music and compositional styles of Mahler, Strauss, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Britten, Bartok, Schnittke, Poulenc, Schoenberg, Glass, and more.
Class will convene each Monday at 7:00 pm on Zoom for an hour-long session. Minimal outside work will be necessary, though extra listening on your own will be strongly recommended!
FEE: $10 registration fee; 153* tuition. $117 if enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein. (Fees are as of Winter 2021.)
