A Summer Favorite Returns in Winter!

Join master musician and graphic artist Dave Chisholm – writer/artist for the graphic novels Chasin' the Bird: Charlie Parker in California, Instrumental as well as the comic-book series Canopus – in a wonderful exploration of the intersection of cartooning and musical sound.

Students will participate in some general light-to-medium formal/structural/narrative/lyric analysis of choice pieces of music and then create comics informed by the musical selections.

Required materials: either pencil and paper or a tablet or iPad pro with digital drawing functionality.

FEE: $10 registration fee, $102* tuition. $78 if enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein. (Fees are as of Winter 2021.)
