Professional Practice Masterclasses

Professional Practice Masterclasses are designed for intermediate and advanced dance students, pre-professionals, and dance educators. Participants should have at least two years of serious dance training to participate.

Masterclasses take place on Saturdays from 1:30-3:00 pm, unless otherwise noted. See below for the schedule. These classes are free but advance registration is recommended.

FRIDAY, 6:30-8:30 pm	Modern Dance Solange Rodrigues is a professional dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher based in Brooklyn, NY dancing with Brooklyn based dance company, The Pocket Fuel Groovers, and Harlem based company Kr3t’s. March 8 & April 12, 2025	Latin Jazz This class addresses the question of how to apply the principles of jazz aesthetics to enhance the execution of specific salsa dance techniques. Jazz dance includes improvisation, syncopation, expressiveness, and call and response, incorporating elements of Afro-Cuban, Puerto Rican, and other Latin American styles.	Ebony Vasquez
