The sounds of the Scottish Highlands are even more alive at Hochstein with our new Intro to Pipe Band Snare Drumming!
In this introductory course, you will learn how to read music, play the practice pad, learn rudiments, and learn basic rhythmic patterns that can eventually be played along with the bagpipes.
At certain points of the year, the Pipe Band Drumming participants will have the opportunity to combine with members of the Highland Bagpipes class.
NOTE: All students will need to purchase a pair of sticks and practice pad. Registrants will be provided with a link to study materials.
Fee: $10 registration fee, $162 per 9-week session. For students enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein, the reduced tuition is $126 per session.
This class runs for the full year. In order to maximize your technical advancement, it is recommended you enroll for all four sessions. Full year tuition is $648 payable in quarterly installments of $162 per 9-week session. For students enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein, reduced tuition is $504, payable in quarterly installments of $126. (Fees are as of Fall 2022.)
