Class runs for two weeks. Split between 60-minute group sessions and 60-minute "lab time" with frequent 1-on-1 sessions.

Join master musician and graphic artist Dave Chisholm – writer/artist for the graphic novels Chasin' the Bird: Charlie Parker in California and Instrumental, as well as the comic-book series Canopus – in a wonderful exploration of the intersection of cartooning and musical sound. Students will participate in some general light-to-medium formal/structural/narrative/lyric analysis of choice pieces of music and then create comics informed by the musical selections.
Required materials: either pencil and paper or a tablet or iPad pro with digital drawing functionality.
Fee: $10 registration fee; $255* tuition. (Fees are as of Summer 2020.)
