Tap technique from the first step through the basics structured for our younger students. Learn basic music theory as applied to tap dancing. Tap shoes are required.
Dance attire for this class:
- Flexible clothing, pant hems at shoe line or above, hair pulled back.
- Tap shoes with screws countersunk, with non-marking soles (such as brown, caramel, tan, or white). Tap Shoes should fit like a good pair of walking shoes, fitting snugly on the heel and with room in the toe box for toes to stretch. As prices can vary, we recommend buying shoes that fit your budget.
Fee: $20 registration fee; $66* for Quarter 1 then $148.50* per quarter (9-week session). For students enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein (only one dance class or FUNdamentals class qualifies for the discounted class rate), the reduced tuition is $36 for Quarter 1 then $81 per quarter.
Full year tuition is $511.50* payable in quarterly installments of $66 for Quarter 1 then 3 quarterly installments of $148.50 per 9-week session or the reduced fee of $279 payable in quarterly installments of $36 for Quarter 1 then $81 per quarter. First class is already discounted 50%, so additional classes will be discounted 50% of full tuition. 50% discount applies to the lower tuition fee. (Fees are as of Fall 2024.)
