Hochstein Philharmonia & Sinfonia Joint Concert

Event summary
Musicians in the Hochstein Philharmonia Orchestra (grades 6-11) and Hochstein Sinfonia Strings (grades 4-9) orchestral ensembles – led by Director John Fetter with HPO Assistant Director Matt Osika – give a joint fall concert, which is free.
Event details

The HSS program includes the haunting Danse Macabre by Saint-Saëns, the finale from Mozart’s Symphony No. 15, and Richard Meyer’s Rosin Eating Zombies from Outer Space, a humorous nod to the “B” monster movies of the 1950s.

The HPO half of the program includes Kabalevsky Suite, featuring works by the noted Russian composer; Gounod’s Funeral March of a Marionette (the theme music from Alfred Hitchcock Presents); and the finale from Haydn’s Symphony No. 3.

Please note that masks will be required at Hochstein for all persons age 2 and older, regardless of vaccination status. Distancing is encouraged.
