Our annual celebration of the holiday season with the choral chamber ensemble Madrigalia. Madrigalia’s expansive interpretation of the December holidays includes celebrations both sparkling and thoughtful.
The program includes music for Solstice; songs from Norway and Sweden with Alyssa Rodriguez on nyckelharpa and fiddle; Christmas songs such as "In Dulci Jubilo" and "Little Drummer Boy" (with Peggy Quackenbush on clarinet); plus songs for Hanukkah and Kwanzaa and an audience singalong!

Since 1975, Madrigalia has distinguished itself as one of the finest chamber choirs in Rochester and western New York. The ensemble is known for its quality performances of challenging and wide-ranging repertoire in this golden age of choral music. Madrigalia appointed Cary Ratcliff as Artistic Director in 2014, subsequently producing two recordings, collaborating with area artists, and commissioning and premiering new works.
