Hochstein’s Junior Wind Symphony features wind, percussion, and brass players in grades 7 and 8. The ensemble meets for six weeks in September and October to prepare music for this free concert.
Students from a dozen different school districts will perform wind band music, including “Accolade” by Mark Lortz, “The Lullaby in the Mirror” by Richard Saucedo, Pierre La Plante’s “Nordic Sketches,” and “Zombie Tango” by James Meredith.
