Since 1975, Madrigalia has distinguished itself as one of the finest chamber choirs in all of Rochester and western New York. The ensemble is known for its quality performances of unique repertoire spanning over six centuries. Cary Ratcliff was appointed Madrigalia’s Artistic Director in 2014, and since that time the group has produced two recordings, collaborated with local and international artists, and premiered new works.

Madrigalia’s expansive interpretation of the December holidays includes a 16th century Christmas carol, Noël Ayisyen (sung in Haitian creole), meditations on winter (including music from The Snowman), John Rutter’s “What Sweeter Music,” and the Gloucestershire Wassail.
