Concertino Strings performs the Baroque-inspired Suite for Strings by John Diercks. Sinfonia performs Bold Venture by M.L Daniels, full of rhythmic vitality and melodic verve. Philharmonia performs Felix Mendelssohn’s Overture and “March of the War Priests” from Athalie.
Both Sinfonia and Philharmonia will each perform a new work by Hochstein faculty member Matt Osika, as part of the Young Composers’ Collaboration Project.
There will be pre-concert chamber music performed by two Chamber Music Connection ensembles - Trio Giocoso and Le Sans Nom - starting at 6:40 pm.
