The program includes Dukas’ masterwork “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” as featured in the Disney animated film Fantasia; Copland’s high-energy “Buckaroo Holiday” from Rodeo, with syncopated rhythms and folk melodies; Coleridge-Taylor’s The Bamboula, inspired by African folk tunes and rhythms; and selections from Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8, which ranges from wistful to raucous.

The HYSO is an advanced youth orchestra comprised of grade 7-12 students from across the Rochester region. This concert will be sign interpreted.
