Spotlight on Faculty – Sonatas Through the Ages

Event summary
Hochstein string faculty explore the development of the sonata form through the different periods in music history.
Event details

You will be taken all the way from the Baroque period with Vivaldi to our present days where you will have a chance to listen to a sonata from David Liptak, a composer from Rochester with close ties to our school. Come join us in this exciting journey through time and music!

Featuring Kelton Burnside, Aika Ito, Marcos Kreutzer, Koki Tanaka, Michelle Walker, and Katie Worley with pianists Ting Li, Zachary A. Peterson, Julie Ruhling, and E-Na Song.

Admission at the door is $10 per person, with a $20 family maximum. Concerts are free to Hochstein students/families, faculty, and staff. The concert lasts about an hour, and is followed by a “meet the artists” reception.
