Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra Spring Concert (w/livestream)

Event summary
The Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra, directed by Casey Springstead, performs their spring concert.
Event details

The program includes the Overture to The Poet and the Peasant, one of the best known works by Austrian composer Von Suppé; Danza del Sol, an energetic work by Kevin Day that features elements of Romantic and Latin music; and selections from Berlioz’s dramatic Symphonie Fantastique.

Two HYSO Concerto Competition winners will be featured as soloists: Violinist Mia Sakonju plays the third movement of Bruch’s Violin Concerto in G Minor and cellist Joanna Frank plays the first movement of Elgar’s Concerto for Cello in E Minor.
