Embark on a musical adventure through Baroque Europe with Trio Speranza! Experience the bold virtuosity of 17th Century Italy, the boundless variety of the Stylus Phantasticus in Austria, and the beauty and refinement of the High Baroque in France. The program includes music by Legrenzi, Francoeur, Buxtehude, and Stradella.
Trio Speranza – Anna Griffis, violin; Cora Swenson Lee, cello; and Jason Moy, harpsichord – is dedicated to presenting engaging and thought-provoking performances of both familiar and lesser-known repertoire from the Baroque era. Griffis, Lee, and Moy live in three different cities (Boston, Rochester, and Chicago, respectively) – so when they do perform together, it’s a celebration of travel, people, and places. The trio made their debut in a Boston Early Music Festival Fringe Concert at the historic Trinity Church on Copley Square in the summer of 2013. They have since appeared on Pegasus Early Music's Pegasus Rising series for young artists, the Landowska Harpsichord Society Series, and at the BEMF Fringe Festival. www.triosperanza.com
