In addition, Marcos Kreutzer received the 2023 Faculty Service Award. Co-Chair of the String Department, Coordinator of the Suzuki Program, Director of Concertino Strings, and an instructor in violin and viola, Kreutzer is originally from Brazil and taught there for many years, as well as in New Mexico. He joined the Hochstein faculty in 2008 and was recognized for his joyful attitude, sense of humor, and support of Hochstein’s musical mission.
The Faculty Service Award was first given in 1990 to recognize the contributions of outstanding faculty members to the work of The Hochstein School. Nominations are solicited from the entire faculty, from a list of those who have completed at least five years of teaching at Hochstein.
Hochstein’s dedicated faculty and staff are the lifeblood of the organization and we are grateful for all of their contributions.
