Hochstein's dance fees make taking an additional class easy! Pay full tuition for one class and all the rest are 50% off! (see pricing details above)

Beginning/Intermediate Ballet

Diane Lewis, Instructor

Tuesdays, 7:15-8:45 pm

ages 13-adult


This class introduces students to the basics of the Russian (Vaganova) Ballet Technique through barre work and preparation for pirouettes, adagios, and allegro movements. Also covered are the basics of ballet vocabulary and technique. Great for developing flexibility, strength, coordination, musicality, and grace.


Intermediate Ballet

Wednesdays, 7:15-8:45 pm
Saturdays, 11:45 am-1:15 pm
ages 13-adult


A continuing focus on the Russian (Vaganova) Technique at the intermediate level.


Dance Fees: $10 registration fee; $612* yearly tuition, payable in quarterly installments of $153. For students enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein, yearly tuition is $468 payable in quarterly installments of $117. (Fees are as of Fall 2019.)


Dance attire for these two classes:

  • Female: pink tights, solid colored leotard, hair pulled back (long hair in bun), ballet slippers. No footless tights, no leotard with skirts and no excessive jewelry
  • Male: black footed tights, solid light or white t-shirt, ballet shoes
  • Adults: dance skirt permitted
