Hello, Hochstein! Welcome and welcome back to the start of the 2023-2024 school year. I hope you all had a terrific summer, and I enjoyed seeing many of you here at Hochstein.
As I begin my second year here, I’m more attuned to the day-to-day rhythm of each week and month within this remarkable organization. Over the past year, one element has consistently shone through – the remarkable "added value" of being part of our Hochstein learning community.
Hochstein is proud of its extensive offerings, and what has truly left an indelible mark on me is the exceptional value that our faculty and staff contributes to the overall experience. And some have been with Hochstein much longer than I have! At this year’s All-Faculty Meeting, we highlighted those who are celebrating 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, and even 45 years at Hochstein this fall! Throughout the entire year, Hochstein's calendar is teeming with opportunities. Students can participate in monthly All School Recitals, showcasing their talents as soloists or collaborating with professional pianists. Our newly renovated and historic Performance Hall hosts student recitals and ensemble performances. Dancers and Expressive Arts students get the spotlight in dedicated showcases. The School also offers Merit Scholarships and an Honors Certificate Program, along with departmental and public masterclasses. A comprehensive Tuition Assistance program supports accessibility, and there's a plethora of free concerts, including our Live from Hochstein and Spotlight on Faculty series. Plus, our dedicated staff and faculty provide unwavering support tailored to the unique needs of each student.
Hochstein is a vibrant community that also extends its support far beyond the confines of our building, actively contributing to our broader community. Did you know that out of 3,400 Hochstein students, half come to us through our community partnership programs?
