Elizabeth Lind is thrilled to help her students grow both in her voice studio and through performing opportunities around Rochester. Elizabeth particularly enjoys preparing students for auditions, especially when dealing with performance anxiety. She has guided students through many auditions ranging from community theatre opportunities to auditions for collegiate programs in musical theatre and classical voice. She has music directed summer camps, served as assistant director for a youth choir, and music directed children’s theatre productions.
She earned her Master of Music degree from Penn State in Voice Performance and Pedagogy and was inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Houghton College. She studied Classical and Musical Theatre techniques and thoroughly enjoys teaching in many genres. Some of her favorite experiences include touring through South Korea as a soloist with the Houghton College Choir, and performing the roles of “Alma March” in the opera Little Women and “First Lady” in Die Zauberflöte. She loves teaching singers of any age and level of experience.

Hometown: Avon, NY
What inspires me: I love enthusiasm and learning what makes people excited! Enthusiasm is so contagious and the energy it spreads is wonderfully magical.
Why the arts matter: As musicians and specifically singers, we have access to amazing stories to immerse ourselves in and bring to life. I think there is something so wonderful about finding commonality with material written by others, whether that be from a few years ago to centuries ago. The arts enrich the audience and the artists’ lives simultaneously; it’s a remarkable experience.
When not teaching, you can find me: Serving as executive assistant to my cat Neville or out in my garden.
Favorite things to do in Rochester: I love exploring Highland Park and the Lamberton Conservatory. There’s nothing more peaceful than reading amongst the plants in the conservatory while the quails run around my feet.
My favorite local restaurant: Mamasans has some of the best dishes in Rochester and the family restaurant atmosphere is delightful!
