Laura Turley has been a music educator and administrator for more than a decade. In that time, she has enjoyed serving in various roles within community, church, and school settings. Highlights include work as a children’s music minister, multi-congregational music director, choir director, preschool music teacher, and private voice instructor.
A 2005 graduate of Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYUI) in Music Education, Laura also had the pleasure of studying vocal performance with international opera singers Kristine Ciesinski and Norman Bailey. She has enjoyed solo work with the BYUI Baroque Ensemble, Rochester Mormon Choir and Orchestra, and ensemble work with the Opera Theatre of St Louis.
Laura has been the coordinator of the Early Childhood Music Program at the Eastman Community Music School since 2016 where she also serves as an instructor. She has been a member of the Hochstein faculty since 2019, teaching in the Making Music, Making Strides program.
Laura resides in Penfield, NY with her multi-talented husband and daughters.
