George Collichio is a national recording artist, performer, music educator, and private guitar instructor. George has nine national CD releases and continues a busy performance schedule. He has a Master of Music degree in Performance and Pedagogy from Nazareth University School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from Empire State University.
Collichio is a former adjunct college professor at SUNY Empire State College in Rochester and remotely at the college’s Suffolk County, Long Island campus where he taught guitar, music theory, and advanced jazz theory. He is the founder of the Collichio School of Music in Rochester which maintained three locations, and he is still a highly sought-after teacher in the area as well as other parts of the country via Zoom.
He has played hundreds of events throughout the U.S. and Italy and has appeared and performed on national and cable TV shows including the KUSI morning show (San Diego) and NBC (cable affiliate) news program. His last release was picked up by over 70 smooth jazz radio stations across the country and distributed worldwide.
George has worked and toured with renowned bass player, and founding member of Blood, Sweat, and Tears, Jim Fielder. He has also opened for Destiny’s Child (Beyoncé’s first band), and has played private events for high profile clients such as pro golfer Bernhard Langer.
