Victoria Kenyon is a passionate acrylic painter and Art Therapist from Rochester, NY. She earned her M.S. in Creative Arts Therapy from Nazareth College of Rochester in May 2017. During her master’s program, she completed internships for the following: Nazareth College York Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute - Art Therapy Clinic, Heritage Christian Services, and the Hickok Center for Brain Injury.
She has been trained to work with individuals and groups with a variety of needs, from school-age to older adults, including individuals with: intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, eating disorders, developmental disorders, grief and loss, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and others. She has also been an active member of the American Art Therapy Association and Western New York Art Therapy Association since 2013.
Kenyon is inspired daily by the beauty found in life, nature, and the arts. To her, the arts matter, because of their value as outlets of self-expression and their healing purposes in therapy. In therapy, she takes a positive, strengths-based approach to healing and self-expression, which focuses on individuals’ strengths and virtues, as a primary basis for healing and creative expression.
When she’s not at Hochstein, you can find her enjoying time with her loved ones or outdoors enjoying nature.
