Lisa Piccione studied with Maria Alba and Melinda Marquez in NYC and with Antonio Martin (El Toleo) in Spain, among others.
She has appeared in telecast performances in Spain, England and the US, including an Alanis Morissette music video. She was principal dancer in “Noche Flamenca” and “Tablao Flamenco” at Le Club at La Mama, Etc. (NYC) and with the Sol y Sombra and Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre companies, as well as with Jose Molina’s Spanish Dance Company, which toured through the National Theater. In Spain, Piccione was the principal dancer in Pepe Camacho’s Company and appeared at the Plaza de Toros de Barcelona, El Gran Casino de San Pere de Ribes and El Tablao de Carmen, among others. More recent venues include the Memorial Art Gallery and the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
Teaching credits include the Ballet Hispánico in NYC, the Alvin Ailey Dance School in NYC, and the Amor de Dios in Barcelona, Spain. She is also the coordinator of a "Flamenco in the Schools" program that has been serving high schools in Monroe and Genesee counties for the past 7 years.
