Choral Program at Hochstein

A choral experience with performance opportunities leads toward a lifelong enjoyment of singing. Choir members learn vocal, ensemble, and performance skills and participate in ear-training and rhythm activities. Choirs perform on numerous occasions at Hochstein and at various community events. No audition is required for any of Hochstein’s vocal ensembles.

Rochester Intergenerational Choir Day

Join us for an inspiring, first-of-its-kind event at the Hochstein Performance Hall. Singers will work with three well-known local clinicians: Dr. Lee Wright, a scholar of the American Negro Spiritual, and composer/conductors Jonathan Thomas Madden and Dr. Philip E. Silvey. The day ends with an informal performance of the new music you’ve learned.

Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9:30 am-4:00 pm
Open to all choral singers, grade 4 and up.

This event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is requested. Click here for more information.
