More About Jeanine Beahan

Hometown: Palmyra, NY

What inspires me: Seeing the “light” come on in a student’s face when they suddenly understand.

Why the arts matter: Not everyone can be academically oriented. I see time and time again students – who struggle in the classroom – absolutely bloom when playing/singing. It’s critical that each of us discover our own voice and means of expression.

When I’m not at Hochstein, you can find me: practicing; in rehearsals; in my garden; playing Mah Jongg; and being with family, friends and my pets (Boston Terrier and 2 cats)

My favorite local restaurant: Laurier’s

Favorite places to travel: Ireland, any place new
