Epongue Ekille, violin student of An-chi Lin, is the recipient of a 2013 Tri-State Certificate of Excellence for Level 7 Violin New York. The State Certificate of Excellence Award recognizes students each academic year, September 1 - August 31, by state, who have obtained the highest marks for practical assessments in each discipline, Level 1 through to the Associate Diploma level. She was invited to perform at the 2013 Tri-State Certificate of Excellence Recital and Awards Ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Sunday, March 16, 2014 and will receive her certificate in recognition of this outstanding achievement.
Epongue will also perform on piano (Gary Palmer, instructor) with Manuel Hanuch, violin student of Tigran Vardanyan at two upcoming events: Hochstein Through the Ages Spring Benefit of April 5 and at the Rochester Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on April 27.
Epongue is a freshman at Fairport High School.
