Kudos to Hochstein alum Agathya Visveswaran, seen here with a 3D-printed guitar he designed. The son of a jazz drummer and an Indian veena player (the instrument is a relative of the lute), he has been playing the guitar since the age of 6 when he started studying classical guitar at Hochstein with John Wiesenthal.
John says, “He’s gifted in so many ways: Agathya is a really talented guitar player and now he is writing songs, publishing them, and then on top of it all he creates a new guitar that is really fun to play. Wow!”
Find out more about Agathya and his music in this City Magazine article from last year, reviewing one of his albums. Agathya graduated from the University of Michigan in cognitive science.
