Hochstein Celebrates Juneteenth

Hochstein celebrates Juneteenth and the historical significance of this day. Our core value of access for all feeds the decisions we make as an organization every day. We envision that one day, everyone in our community will have access to high quality arts education in a safe and nurturing environment.

We are proud to have our home in a building on Plymouth Avenue with a rich history of abolition and civic leadership. This history includes being the site of an Underground Railroad station, where abolitionists Isaac and Amy Post’s home created a safe haven for individuals seeking freedom.

Anthony. We aim to honor the legacies of these leaders in our work throughout the community.

The Hochstein School will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 as we observe this important day.

Please join us in building knowledge and understanding of Juneteenth across our community by learning more here.
