It’s National “Love Your Pet Day,” so we asked Hochstein faculty and staff to send in photos of themselves and their companion animals. Lots of cats, dogs, and even chickens and a horse!
Here are some pictures of our people and their pets – see the captions below for who is in each picture.
Some of the animals like to be held – like Maryellen’s cat, Fermata, who looks right at ease – but Katie Worley says her cat, Sparkle, likes to cuddle only on his own terms (as you will see in the picture). Nancy Johnston’s horse, Nomi, was sniffing around looking for more cookies.
Our pets obviously have different preferences for music, too. Julia Goodwin’s dog, Siegfried, sings along with piano music, as you can see in this video: https://youtu.be/TWhBdWepsnU. But Eric Polenik says that it may look like Ellie is enjoying his piano playing, but she is using her “please make it stop” meow.
Give your pets a little extra love today, to celebrate National “Love Your Pet Day”!
