About a dozen times during the school year, students who take individual lessons at The Hochstein School perform during our All-School Recitals. Since the start of the corona virus pandemic, the recitals have taken to a new platform – Zoom!
Our first “Hochstein at Home” recital of the semester was held on Saturday, October 17. Instrumental and vocal students of all ages performed, with friends and family members watching on Zoom from as far away as Oklahoma and Michigan.
A couple of students submitted videos (one was attending a sports event that same day), and two of Dave Chisholm’s remote studio rock bands submitted group recordings.
The musical selections included classical works by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, and Viennese composer Maria Theresia von Paradis; a traditional folk song; a song from a current Broadway musical; and music by The Cranberries.
Congrats to all the participants!
