Nine-year-old Layne Hine started taking saxophone lessons at Hochstein in January 2020. He had two months of lessons in-person and since March has continued his lessons online. He even participated this spring in the “Hochstein at Home” recitals.
Layne says, “I love the saxophone and look forward to playing music every day.”
His Hochstein instructor, Nancy Boone Bahr, tells us, “Layne has been a real trooper” for how he has stuck with his lessons over the past few months. “He loves jazz and movie music the most, but is equally good with his classical pieces.
“I am so proud of his progress and accomplishments and know he’ll do great when he starts band at school.”
