Margaret (Meg) Sawyer holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Houghton College. She studied piano, viola, and voice during her years there. She holds certification in Elementary Education through Akron University and has done additional graduate study (including Orff training) at Nazareth College and the Eastman School of Music.
Sawyer has taught at ARK Preschool in Manchester, New York, which included a music classroom for singing, movement to music, and use of rhythm instruments. She taught music for grades K-8 at East Palmyra Christian School; and held positions with the Greece, Penfield, and East Rochester School Districts. Sawyer has worked with students ages from preschool through grade 12.
In addition to her work with public and private schools, Sawyer has maintained a private piano and string studio for many years.
