Individual instruction is at the heart of Hochstein’s program and the most effective way to build your musical skills, whether you’re a child or an adult. We offer lessons in all orchestral instruments as well as composition, electric bass, acoustic and electric guitar, harp, percussion, piano, and Suzuki violin, viola, cello, and harp.
Lessons are available weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays. With open enrollment, you can start any time of year.
Our group classes offer something for every age and interest. Children’s classes emphasize fun, creativity, and movement, while adult classes bring together like-minded people to explore new skills or go deeper on a subject they love.
Hochstein offers a wide range of ensemble opportunities, including Orchestras, Wind Symphonies, Choral Singing, Chamber Music, Instrument Ensembles, Jazz Combos, and Rock Bands.
Hochstein programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
