Hochstein Performance Hall
Facility Details
- Total Capacity: 847 seats (457 main; 390 balcony)
- The main floor is wheelchair accessible and hearing-loop compatible; the balcony is not.
- One space to serve as a dressing room, green room, or reception space to be included in the reservation. Additionally needed rooms are subject to availability and will incur extra fees.
- If an audio engineer is requested from Hochstein, pricing will be available by estimate.
Built in 1890 as the sanctuary to the former Central Presbyterian Church, the Performance Hall at Hochstein was fully renovated in 1999 to include state-of-the-art acoustics, theatre seating, stage and house lighting, and Crest Audio System.
While retaining the elegant stained glass windows, sweeping balcony, and intimate atmosphere (all of the 847 seats arranged “in the round” are within 50 feet of the stage), the award-winning Hall now features a large maple stage, clear sightlines, and three entrances, two of which are equipped with foyer ticket booths. Restroom facilities are located both on the main floor and lower level.

Hilda D. Taylor Recital Hall

- Grand piano may not be moved off stage
Built in 1990, this intimate hall features a small stage with a Steinway baby grand piano (seven-foot; available for use for an additional fee), clear acoustics, and stage and house lighting. The tiered seating allows for clear sight lines. The space is perfect for smaller, more intimate events such as solo performances, small chamber groups, and lectures.

- All reception supplies, including tablecloths, serving utensils, etc. are YOUR responsibility to provide. No materials may be left behind, except inside trashcans.
Ideal for your catered event, workshop, or smaller gathering, the Conference/Hospitality Room measures 22’ x 36’ and easily accommodates seated or standing events. Comfortable, cushioned chairs and 6’ and 8’ tables can be tastefully arranged to suit your specific needs.
The room features an Integrated AI Zoom meeting system, with Click Share technology and a large screen TV for virtual meetings via Zoom, Google Meet, etc. or for audio/video presentations.
