A memorial or honorary gift is a wonderful way to celebrate special occasions, honor a loved one, or pay tribute to the memory of family members or friends. To make a memorial or honorary gift using our secure online giving webpage, click below. If you wish to direct gifts to Hochstein through an obituary or other means, suggested wording is provided below.

Giving stock or appreciated securities is a tax-wise way to support us. Please click below for instructions on how to transfer your gift of stock electronically. Please notify us prior to any stock transfer so that we can properly identify and acknowledge your gift. Notifying us that the transfer is occurring is very important; it is the only way we can credit you for the donation, as your name does not transfer with the stock.

Leave a Lasting Legacy at Hochstein

A planned gift to Hochstein is a meaningful way to ensure that music and dance education remains accessible to future generations of Rochester students. We are grateful to those who choose to include Hochstein in their long-term giving.

David Hochstein Legacy Circle

We invite you to consider joining the David Hochstein Legacy Circle. Members have expressed their commitment to The Hochstein School through a planned or legacy gift — naming Hochstein as a beneficiary of their bequest, IRA or retirement plan, life insurance policy, Charitable Remainder Trust, donor advised fund, or through their estate plans. Your membership involves no dues or annual obligations.

Benefits of membership include:

  • Playing a vital role in ensuring our programs and services will endure and respond to our community’s needs for years to come

Emily Sibley Watson Leadership Society

We invite you to become a member of the Emily Sibley Watson Society, Hochstein’s leadership giving society. Members make annual unrestricted donations of $1,000 or more to support Hochstein in its mission — with gifts going where the need is greatest: need-based scholarships, attracting qualified faculty, enhancing program offerings, and maintaining our historic building and Performance Hall.

Members enjoy exclusive benefits including:

  • Highlighted listing in the Annual Report and Honors Convocation Program in the Spring
  • Special reception at Hochstein’s yearly culminating event, the Honors Convocation
  • Invitation to other VIP events and recognitions throughout the year
